Carrie Underwood: "Cowboy Casanova"

Carrie is back!!! The long wait for ACMA Entertainer, Carrie Underwood's new single has been building. It has been 7 months since we recieved a new single from Miss Carrie Underwood. Her last single, I Told You So hit #1 and marked her 10th #1. Now, everyone wants to hear the new Carrie single. But was it worth the wait?
Indeed, yes. Cowboy Casanova was worth the wait from Carrie. The song is a very fun dance tune and we dont see many of those from Carrie. The song has such a potential and is a relationship fun song that makes you just want to head out and hit the dance floor. Through the rapid chorus where Carrie showing off the fire vocals to the verses storm of a lyric. Carrie can tell a story with a song while having some fun with it.
Now, the anticipation for Play On is so high that the lead single needs to be something that will make people want to go buy the c.d. This is such a strong lead single that makes it potentially a bigger song than Before He Cheats & Last Name. Those songs had quite the same 'theme' and came as the 3rd single from the albums. With Cowboy Casanova being the first fun, dance single Carrie has released as a lead single it has more potential. So Small had a #20 debut and was another Carrie ballad while this single is not a ballod and it is proven that fun/dance tunes recieve higher liking than ballods because it makes them more catchy.
Carrie is the "Queen" of Country Music today. Martina McBride was big for a while but no one has been as big as Carrie female wise in Country music this decade. Carrie hit a home run in this single and it just keeps fans on their seat waiting for Play On on November 3rd. What agreat single to start with from Carrie.

"Cowboy Casanova"
Director: Teresa Wingert

Where to begin? Let me start by how well Cowboy Casanova is doing on the radio. With this single doing so well on the charts. Over 110,000 downloads in it's first week? WHAT? It's amazing the fan base Carrie has.
Now, Carrie switched video director's with this video. Roman White, who directed all of Carrie's video from Some Hearts & Carnival Ride did not direct this one. Teresa Wingert who isn't that well known to Country music directed it and also directed Martina's latest video.
On to the video. When the video first came out I was thinking they should have done it in a club or something but than I got thinking about it. Before He Cheats & Last Name were both in a club set. This video takes on so much more and is so different than the other's which I love. In the video, Carrie has a quite a bit of custome changes and she shows off some dance moves. As she changes her videos like this one than her concert tours will be much better next year. In the video, Carrie is warning many guys about this Cowboy Casanova who is in hiding until the final showdown at the end.
This video is so good and I can watch it over and over. Carrie's sexy appeal in the video and her performance is really good. Teresa and Carrie both hit a ground home run with this. They did really well and it will surely be a #1.

"Play On when your loosing the game, Play On cause your gonna make mistakes, its always worth a sacrifice even when you think you're wrong... So Play On." What a great song to sum up not only Ms. Carrie's career but this 3rd album.
With Play On I was very worried that Carrie wouldnt be able to wow with the album based on all the anticipation and the success of Some Hearts & Carnival Ride. The album was very, very good and I enjoyed it. The album is so versitile and has a different taste of style in songs from the sassy Cowboy Casanova, Undo It, and Songs Like This to the love ballods like Someday When I Stop Loving You, Look At Me, & What Can I Say through the songs of hope like Change and many more great songs.
With the 1st single, Cowboy Casanova already a Top 3 smash and the kick off track to the album it shows the Carrie sass to start the album that has many different flavors to it. To the following track, Quitter just is a fun love tune and it makes you think about who you love and have fun with it.
Mama's Song is a very well written ballod. The song talks about a Mom letting her girl go to someone else after everything she had done for her. Change is such a lifting song to let you no you can make a difference no matter what you do and dont listen to people who say you cant.
Undo It brings back more sass and it is such a fun song but it also a kinda mean song as your saying I wish I never met you kinda song but its all Carrie. Look At Me & This Time are what I call 'filler' songs but still very very well. For any other artist those songs would be a masterpiece but when it comes to Carrie they are just another song.
Unapologize is another well written great song. I love the song how you can feel sympathy for someone and be all sorry and when your sick of it you want to take that apology back. What Can I Say is a great love collaboration. It showcases Carrie's vocals and writing ability.
Someday When I Stop Loving You is one of the strongest tracks on the album. It talks about your leaving and you no you cant stop loving this person until somethings happen to the world that are way out of reach in the sense of you'll never stop loving.
Play On is an uplifting, great song to end the album. They couldn't have picked a better closing song. Play On no matter what you go through.
Carrie has done it once again! An amazing album and probably her strongest to date. Good job to Miss Carrie and this album will be another hit and I think will out pass Carnival Ride. This gets said a lot with Carrie reviews, but Carrie has a way that many artists wish they had and dont. Carrie knows what songs will sell and how to grab someone's attention! This is a gold mine for Carrie!
